About the event
I was quite the diva when I was about eight years old. I remember creating little plays and TV shows and recording them onto cassette tapes. I loved the idea of being in the spotlight.
This was also around the time that the Muppet Show first appeared on TV. From the start, I felt a close kinship with Kermit the frog. You see, Kermit is a bit like me. He wants to be a leader, but he also wants to be wacky and playful.
Somewhere along the way, that fun and playful side gradually got beaten out of me. Being bullied at school, buckling down to get good grades, a career in professional services. They all took their toll. Adults are meant to be serious, remember?!
